Nokia G42

HMD Global has officially announced the release of the new Nokia G42 smartphone. The novelty belongs to the middle class devices and became the first 5G phone of this manufacturer that can be repaired by the user.

 

Nokia G42 is equipped with a 6.56-inch LCD display with an IPS panel with HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a drop-shaped cutout for an 8-megapixel front camera. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

The smartphone is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Snapdragon 480+ chip. It has 4/6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which can be expanded using microSD memory cards.

 

The capacity of the smartphone’s battery is 5000 mAh. Fast charging mode with a power of 20 W is supported. It is promised that the battery will retain 80% of its initial capacity after 800 charging cycles. There is also a fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

 

Nokia G42 runs on Android 13 operating system. HMD promises to release OS updates for two years, as well as three years of monthly security updates.
